I was gifted a lovely big box of sweets by the guys at Vegummies. I have a huge sweet tooth and I’m very partial to some sweets so knew the collab was perfect for me.
I’m always rolling my eyes at packets in supermarkets as sometimes they usually contain gelatine (gross). Rest assured that you don’t have to read ingredients and you’ll get delicious vegan/gluten free sweets every time from Vegummies.
Vegan sweets seem to be having a moment and I feel like every week I’m finding a new company. Not that I’m complaining..I am over gelatine, plus I’m always down for sweets, the world needs more vegan ones imo.
So why choose Vegummies?
- They have a huge selection with 54 sweets to choose from (the biggest I’ve seen so far). See them all here.
- You can choose your own sweets or have the premade boxes
- Gluten-free options available (everyone wins!)
- They use cute and eco-packaging which makes the perfect gift.
- Not only that but they
- give 5% of their profits to Viva, a great charity which is close to all our vegan hearts.
The box had the nice Vegummies logo sticker on it so I knew straight away my yummy sweets were inside. They chose a mixed selection for me which weighed about 1kg I believe. Boxes cost from £10-£15 and you get plenty in there, you can also get bags in smaller quantities.
The box came with my childhood favourites including bubblegum bottles, pear drops, sour cherries and a candy necklace. I’m a nostalgic person so this definitely took me back to buying penny sweets when I was young.
Even I couldn’t eat them all at once and it took me a good while to finish them. You can always divide them up and share them between a few people so price wise it works out pretty reasonable.
I really enjoyed the box and got to try some new sweets as well as old favourites. Would definitely recommend Vegummies and order some more for myself and for gifts. They’re a lovely company with really good sweets that make it easy for everyone to enjoy sweets, not just vegans.
*I received free products and payment for this post but this in no way biases my opinion of the brand. This is an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
