I was sent a bottle of this Thomson & Scott alcohol free wine (£8.99) by The Alcohol Free Co (distributors of high quality alcohol free drinks) and couldn’t wait to try it. Alcohol free products are having a bit of a moment and more and more are appearing on the market (good news for us sober folk!)
The Alcohol Free Co was formed to fill a gap in the UK market for non alcoholic products.
Set up by Director Tom Proctor with the help of his wife Hannah – Tom and his growing team have sampled every drink they sell. All products have been carefully selected by our team to offer the same taste your used to… but without the hangover!

This isn’t a product I had seen on shelves before but the bottle looks like a fancy prosecco or champagne and is adorned with rose gold lettering.
Crisp, elegant wine with subtle aromas.
It looks like a prosecco or champagne and from what I remember it tastes like one too. It’s crisp, dry (but not too much) and has a subtly sweet grape taste and aroma. It’s vegan certified, made from 100% organic chardonnay grapes and is free from alcohol.
Amanda Thomson is the creator of Thomson & Scott the company who make this sparkling wine. It cuts unnecessary sugar, is organic and vegan certified and is 100% transparent about what’s in the bottle.

I’ve tried a lot of alcohol free products and some just taste like overpriced grape juice but this has a complexity that I haven’t tasted in other similar products. I think you could fool many in thinking there is alcohol in this product.
This beautifully created sparkling wine is produced using 100% organic Chardonnay grapes as part of a vegan production method. It is then dealcoholised using a specialised extraction technique and lightly carbonated to give it its essential bubbles.
The result is a crisp, elegant wine with subtle aromas that can beautifully echo equivalent alcoholic sparkling wines. It avoids pesticides, herbicides and any added perfumes, so the wine is as pure as we can make it.
I really enjoyed every sip of this alcohol free wine and will definitely be getting this again.
