Recently I attended the shiny new Purezza location in Camden, London to celebrate the fantastic new premises and their new book. I’ve loved Purezza since the days of their super old red logo with like a heart (who remember that?!) It was like a lifetime ago right!?
As an avid pizza lover living in Brighton, I’ve followed the restaurant’s success and seen them go from strength to strength. I was thrilled to see the book finally out and them in a new location with room to grow. It’s only next door to the old Camden location so it means customers won’t have to travel very far.
The new location boasts 3x the space and is so beautiful. 95% of the furniture is reclaimed and refurbed. Lighting, mirrors and more are ethically crafted by @nkukulife. The vegan leather seats use inner foam made with recycled plastic bottles. They wanted to build the most sustainable restaurant possible for you to enjoy and they have nailed it!!
Purezza have also tweaked their logo and I adore the new branding. But all the food is still the same authentic Italian, plant based, deliciousness we all know and LOVE.
I’ve been to Purezza loads of times before but I try to mix it up when I order. This time I went for homemade cola, cheesy dough balls, the telling porkies pizza & strawberry cheesecake. You can check out the full London menu here.
I love that they’ve changed the name slightly and it reminds me of friends, no idea if that’s where the idea came from. I need to ask them this.
Drink: Homemade Cola
Dough Balls: Three cheesy bites, made with sourdough and oozing with homemade stringy melty cheese. £4.45
One of my favourite side dishes that I never get bored of. The trick is trying not to burn your tongue with the hot molten lava of cheese at its centre. I’ve never managed to not to this however because that would actually entail having the willpower to let them cool.
The One That’s Telling Porkies Pizza: White base with melted cheddar, mixed wild forest mushrooms, marinated pulled BBQ pieces and sundried tomatoes. £11.95
An excellent pizza that I had the pleasure of trying last year before it’s release. A gorgeous base with the dreamiest sauce and toppings. I’m a big mushroom fan and could eat my weight in them so this is ideal if you’re the same.
Strawberry Cheesecake: Delicate lemon infused cheesecake with a raspberry coulis. £5.95
The best cheesecake I’ve ever had! Ever seen the Friends episode with the cheesecake well this is better than that. Because it’s vegan and friggin delicious. The creamiest most non vegan cheesecake I’ve ever had.
I’ve been sooo excited for this book! It contains several plant-based cheeses, plenty of pizzas, gluten-free dough recipes, a few pastas and some desserts too.
They gifted me a copy to take home which I’m so excited about. I can’t wait to get on that tiramisu recipe as well as making some killer pizza to devour between purezza visits!
Overall the new location is stunning, the food is wonderful and the book is fantastic! Go visit Purezza Camden 2.0 and pick up the book here!
Thank you so much for having me guys and I’m so happy for your success, you deserve it. Can’t wait to see you guys again soon and try some of the recipes!
