Pizza Hut launched Veganuary this year with their brand new bbq jackfruit pizza as well as their 41% off deal *valid after 5pm on Sundays and all day Monday – Thursday.
The pizza is proving so popular that its been selling out here down south and I haven’t been able to try it until now. Hopefully due to the demand Pizza Hut will keep this as a permanent item on their menu. Yes, please!
I headed down to their Brighton restaurant in Queens Square to try it. The deep pan base, gooey cheese, jackfruit and bbq sauce makes a pizza that even a meat eater would enjoy.
Whether you’re vegan, veggie, pescatarian, flexitarian, anything-else-Pizza Hut
atarian, taking part in Veganuary or just looking to try something new, let’s Cheat on Meat this January.
The yummy pizza is topped with goey violife cheese like their other vegan pizza as well as tomato sauce, BBQ jackfruit, sweetcorn, red onions, peppers and a BBQ drizzle. A match made in vegan pizza heaven.
It’s great than vegans have options when going to a large chain restaurant. if jackfruit isn’t your thing though you can still enjoy a vegan Margherita or veggie pizza. All Vegan Pizzas are available on Pan, All American Thin and Gluten Free bases. *They also include free unlimited salad. I love their “bacon” bits.
Like some sides or a beer with your pizza? No probs they’ve got you covered! You can have onion rings or fries and they have plenty of drinks (alcoholic and not) Check out the full vegan list of what they have here.
2019 is set to be the year of the vegan. With big businesses like this creating more options we can expect exciting things and Veganuary sign-ups at an all-time high.
*I received a gift card in return for veganuary coverage of the new pizza, which in no way biases my opinion of the brand. This is an honest review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I hope you enjoyed this post and that you try the pizza.
