This year is really good with the number of vegan options there are for Christmas and I’m not just talking about selection boxes. Supermarkets are even making vegan mains now so you don’t have to miss out this season. Being vegan doesn’t mean going without and these meat alternatives are so delicious, even meat eaters will think so!
If you’re not into nut roasts and fancy something more like a traditional turkey then maybe these meaty mains will be up your street.
Here are my top turkey alternatives this year. In no particular order:
1. Coop: Vegan Roasting Joints, 344g – £5
The seitan-based joint is made from seitan with an apricot and cranberry stuffing centre wrapped in seitan bacon rashers.

2. Sainsbury’s: Taste the Difference Vegan No Beef Wellington, 520g – £7
Inside, you’ll find a succulent mushroom, parsnip and seitan loaf layered with tender spinach leaf and a rich mushroom, porcini and port wine Duxelles.

3. Linda McCartney: Beef Roast with Red Wine & Shallot Glaze, 500g – £3

5. ASDA: Vegan Wellington With Red Wine Gravy, 625g – £5
Enjoy the satisfying taste of seasoned soya, mushrooms & caramelised onions in a light puff pastry.

6. M&S Plant Kitchen Festive Roast, 872g – £12
With cranberry and chestnut stuffing, vegan gravy and no-pork cocktail sausoyges.
