As the days get darker and the autumn leaves fall it gets me thinking more about self-care and generally being cosy. Autumn really is a great time to practice self-care and find ways to make yourself a priority.
Self-care is a really important topic that I’m deeply passionate about because I think it touches on a very vital part of mental health. Your number one priority should be taking care of yourself because we can’t care for others if we’re not watering our own garden too.
The changing seasons bringing darker nights and allow us to make the most of this beautiful season with more excuses for self-care. The cosiness of season makes it perfect and gets us thinking about hygge and being indoors.
There are so many things we can do but I think some of my favourite things are using beautiful products and just pampering myself. Even using these products at some point during the day and having these little hygge moments and taking time for self-care can help pep you up.
My Self Care Day With Haoma
I had massaged the lovely Organic Hair Revitaliser into my very dry scalp before I went to bed and left it to work its magic while I slept. When I woke up I took a nice long shower, washed out the scalp treatment and applied a hair mask to my ends. My scalp felt so soothed and like it had got the hydration it was so desperately crying out for.

Next, I lathered up with one of Haoma’s imperfect soaps which are so creamy and moisturising. I love that these soaps are a little imperfect like people are. That they aren’t wasted and still go to loving homes. I’m big on trying to minimize waste and think this is a great way for businesses to do that.
These soaps have the same super moisturising & gentle cleaning qualities but we did a poor job stamping/cutting them.Haoma
The soap was unscented too which is sometimes nice so it doesn’t upset your skin (particularly you have sensitive skin).
Ingredients: Sodium Olivate*, Sodium Palmate**, Sodium Cocoate*, Sodium Cocoa Butterate*, Aqua, Sodium Hempseedate*, Sodium Castorate*, Glycerin*
- Made using the cold processing method
- The ‘Superfatting’ technique is used to create a luxurious and moisturising soap.
- Soaps are cured for a minimum of 6 weeks to give the richest lather and intense moisturisation.
Then I had to get on with some work which I try to make as nice and relaxing as possible. I listen to music, have plenty of tea and snacks to sustain me and use my organic focus mood roll to help me with concentration.
Roll; close your eyes; inhale and study, work and be successful when you need a boost in your mental capabilities.

This is the best pillow spray I’ve ever used and I sleep so well after using it. It still has lavender in there but I love that it has cedarwood and clary sage as well which scents really come through. It comes in a lovely eco glass bottle too.
Taking little moments like this throughout the day to pamper myself and using essential oils made the day feel lovely and not just all work. I can find it hard to take my mind off work so this was a lovely way to combine my workday with self-care. You should try it and check out my new favourite store Haoma.
