I discovered The Vegan Kind about a year ago and just bought some “Mozzarisella“. (What they use at Zizzi and Ask Italian). It comes in a sausage shape for easy slicing (unlike balls of regular mozzarella which are squishy and gross.) I got the regular one to try on pizza etc.. upon reflection I think the creamy one would’ve been a better choice but I’ll try all the varieties at some stage.
I’ve made it my mission to try all the vegan cheese & I enjoy trying the different varieties from around the world. You don’t have to miss out on enjoying food because you’re vegan. (A common mistake)
MOZZARISELLA IS A TASTY ALIMENT BASED ON GERMINATED WHOLE RICE MADE WITHOUT MILK AND LACTOSE. A LIGHT AND DIGESTIBLE ALTERNATIVE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO PEOPLE WITH LACTOSE OR GLUTEN INTOLERANCE. – Mozzarisella
“Innovative Vegan products made for Human Wellness respecting the Environment.
All ingredients of any products we develop are coming 100% vegan and we do are strongly committed to using ingredients coming from sustainable production rather than others. Coconut oil, for example, is purchased labelled at low environmental impact, cold squeezed not exploiting children labour and not destroying forest area.
Whenever possible we use local raw materials, such as whole rice which is coming from Lomellina (Lombardy) rice farms or tomato, used in our fresh dish or frozen line: 100% Italian.
We are strongly committed to using OGM free ingredients only, coming from Bio agriculture and checked through a tight traceability system”
I haven’t found any cheese that has a stringy texture but I don’t think that’s possible for vegan cheese. It’s always much softer and more crumbly than dairy cheese.
I tried it on pizza and loved it! I never would’ve thought rice cheese would work so well! Soya cheese is really strong & coconut cheese doesn’t work for every recipe because it’s very coconutty in taste. Not ideal in a sandwich…
I highly recommend this cheese and homemade pizza in general! Perfect for weekends. 10/10
