Oreo Birthday Party Brownies

I love all the new varieties of Oreos that we have in the UK now, before the US had all the best kinds. They still have so many more than we do but I’m not gonna be unhappy about having birthday cake and strawberry cheesecake ones.

I  adore brownies and was dying to try out my beautiful new brownie pan from the new Tesco Go Cook range. It looks so nice and really high end for £8. I like the fact that you can make individual portions in it so no need for cutting and you don’t need baking paper to line it. The brownies pop out easily when cooled using a butter knife around the edge.

The oreos kind of melt into the batter so adding some extra sprinkles and cookies on top makes them 100x tastier, I also like the way it looks.

Don’t forget to use #vblrecipes and tag me @veganbabelife on social media so I can see what you guys have made. You can also check out my other delicious, cruelty-free recipes here.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did making it (and eating it).

Oreo Birthday Party Brownies
Great for Birthdays, great any time. A sugary sweet treat that'll go down a little too easily with some milk (dairy free of course).

Ingredients
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 5tsp cacao powder
  • 170g plain flour
  • 110g steviaor sweetener of choice
  • pinch salt
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 5tbsp vegetable oil
  • 260ml dairy-free milkI used hazelnut
  • 2tbsp rainbow sprinkles (plus more for decorating)I used baking time club
  • 20 Birthday Party Oreos
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180c and grease your brownie tin. I used the individual non-stick tin from the new Tesco Go Cook range. No need for paper or cutting up your brownies afterwards. You can use a normal brownie tin, just make sure you grease and line if needed.
  2. Melt your chocolate until smooth then set aside. I put it in the microwave for 30 second intervals.
  3. Combine the Cacao, flour, stevia sweetener and salt in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add in the oil, vanilla extract, and milk then mix.
  5. Fold in 8 crushed Oreo cookies, sprinkles and the melted chocolate.
  6. Top each brownie with an Oreo (12) and some sprinkles for decoration. This is totally optional but I promise you the taste pay off is totally worth it.
  7. Pour the mixture into your chosen brownie tin then bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Let cool before slicing over popping out of the tin. If you aren't sure if they're done, a skewer inserted should come out clean.
